I am currently a PhD student at the Department of (Human) Geography at University of Cambridge. I have several years of working experience in the development (natural resource management) sector in India. My current research interest is on alternative agriculture and food security. I am particularly examining system of rice intensification (SRI) and the shifting dynamics of gender and labour within this practice and understand some of its associated implications.
