Dr Hafiz Abdelgadir is a researcher and project leader: Agro-processing of medicinal plants at the Agricultural Research Council Vegetable and Ornamental Plant Institute (ARC-VOPI). Dr Abdelgadir is participating as a representative and host for the institute (ARC-VOPI).

Dr. Beaudreault has more than 12 years’ experience in strategic communication, project management, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and program development, outreach, and evaluation. She has experiences in an array of industries, specializing in education, nutrition, and agricultural extension. She has played an integral part in many teams and has seen research develop from proposal to publication. Dr. Beaudreault is a lead author in multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations.

I hold a B.Sc. in Rural Development & Agricultural Economics in December 1996 from Faculty of Natural Resources & Environmental Studies, University of Kordofan in the Sudan. I got hold of a M.Sc. degree in Economics (Economic Policy Analysis) from the Faculty of Business & Economics, University of Addis Ababa since July 2002. I obtained a PhD degree in Agricultural Economics from Giessen University in Germany in November 2008.

Engaged in agricultural research on programmes pertaining to alleviate malnutrition and poverty in Agro-biodiversity hotspots in India.
Enhancing farm productivity, Promoting soil health and management, research work on home gardens, entitlements for tribal people, on-farm and off-farm enterprises, gender mainstreaming in project action plan, drudgery reducing farm equipments, Post harvest processing, value addition and marketing, knowledge management through ICT tools, biodiversity conservation and research findings to share with policy makers.

Work as a Research Scientist in an organisation with a major mandate for the conservation , utilisation and management of genetic resources of both flora and fauna in Nigeria.

Professor Shashi Sharma is Chair in Biosecurity and Food Security at the Murdoch University, Western Australia. Prior to joining this University, he was at the Department of Agriculture and Food, Government of Western Australia where he was Director, Plant Biosecurity and member of the Senior Leadership Team. He is Leader of the ‘Safeguarding Trade’ program of Australia’s Plant Biosecurity Cooperative Research Centre (PBCRC). He has been Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Murdoch University in Western Australia since 2006.
