I am a Developmental Professional, with notable familiarity in the NGO sector for around 5 years apart from post graduate in International Rural Development. I am dedicated to International development, Environment, Food security and Sustainable Agriculture and aspire my professional work to contribute to the good of Women, Farmers and Children on a global basis. I am very much interested to work in various parts of the world, especially in Developing countries helping rural women, by capacity building and sharing knowledge and making them empowered for a sustainable world.
I have worked on potato breeding, genetics. genetic resources and biotechnology for the last 35 years as a research scientist and also worked as Head, Division of Crop Improvement, Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla for 5 years. Presently I am leading the R&D activities of Onion and Garlic as Director, Directorate of Onion & Garlic Research, Rajgurnagar, Pune, India. I have traveled to more than 20 countries in official capacity including as CGIAR expert on potato breeding to review the work of the International Potato Center, Lima, Peru.
