I am a Veterinarian interested in animal health as a way to poverty alleviation and sustainability. I am a Researcher at Kenya Agricultural Research Institute-Kenya, but currently doing my PhD studies at Utrecht University in Animal Health Economics

Having ph.D in agricultural Economics, I am working as scientist for past 15 years at Directorate of Research on Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, India. I have worked in areas such as gender work participation in agriculture, policy and institutional issues for empowering women in aquaculture, impact of govt. programs on women and strenghteing gender perspective in agricultural research. I have developed a conceptual model on gender sensitization process, gender work participation disparity index(GWPDI) and frameworks for understanding gender perpsective in agriculture.
