Gabriela is a communications professional with a decade of working experience in environment and development at international and national organizations. Currently she is based in Peru, leading the Latin America communication activities for the Center for Iinternational Forestry Research (CIFOR). She has worked, among others, for the BBC World Service Trust in UK and at WWF in Mexico. She holds a Masters Degree in Media, Communications and Development from the London School of Economics.

A law graduate with the degree of LLM from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. Now researching and consulting on legal and institutional aspects of transboundary water management in Central Asia, based at IWMI's Central Asia office. Attending GCARD2012 as a fully sponsored social media trainee/young reporter.

Hi! My name is Meerim Shakirova and i am from Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia). I believe, that my academic qualifications include a top scoring thesis for which I received a full scholarship, I was identified by the United Nations (UN) as a future leader and offered scholarships to attend courses in South Korea, Germany and Japan with added work experience in Bangkok, Philippines and Geneva, and entry into the prestigious PhD program, by Kyrgyz Government and Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Hans-Jörg Lutzeyer, studied agricultural sciences at the University of Hohenheim, Germany, where he obtained his Ph.D. in 1991. From 1993 to 1997 he worked at the Council of Tropical and Sub-tropical agricultural research in Bonn, Germany. From 1997 to 1998 he was at the EU-office of the German Science Ministry (BMBF). From 1999 to 2001 he was seconded to the European Commission as Executive Secretary of the European Initiative of Agricultural Research for Development.
