Sujata Tamang, a core team member of Food and Sustainable Agriculture Initiative, Forestaction, Nepal is involved in the research and capacity building activities, specifically carrying out field work and analysis, facilitation/coordination of training course, participants follow up and field support at both local and national level.

I joined The Research Council (TRC) since July 2011 as Director of Research Administration Department. Before that, I was Assistant Director of Plant Production Research Center in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries since January 2007. Most of my scientific career and academic background is in the field of plant genetic resources and crop improvement. I involved with TRC as well in developing a strategy for establishing Animal and Plant Genetic Resources Center.

I WORK AS EXTENSION SPECIALIST WITH NAERLS. I HAVE AN MSC IN AGRIC EXTENSION & RURAL SOCIOLOGY AS WELL AS A MASTERS IN AGRIC POLICY & ADMINISTRATION. I HAVE OVER 16 YEARS WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH EXTENSION ORGANIZATIONS. I AM AN EXCO MEMBER OF AGRIC EXTENSION SOCIETY OF NIGERIA.
I HAVE OVER 40 JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS AT BOTH LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL PEER REVIEW JOURNALS. I ALSO HAVE OVER TEN YEARS OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN THE POLYTECHNIC, COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND UNIVERSITY.
I AM A FAST LEANER, ENTHUSISTIC AND DEDICATED.

Have worked in agricultural research in Zimbabwe within the southern African region for the past 33 years and have made input in dryland agriculture in semi-arid areas, irrigatigated cropping, horticulture, wetland management systems, multi-disciplinary research and development formulation and coordination, prioritization and leadership in partnerships.

I am a Ugandan, aged 27, with a BSc in Agriculture (Economics) and MSc in Agricultural and Applied Economics (Policy Analysis). Highy equiped with quantitative and qualitative research techniques, excellent communication and leadership/managerial skills. Very motivated and focussed.

I have four year experience in research with a deep zeal to further my future in research applications, avocacy and implementation through participative, involving and research policy guided leadership on the African continent.

Shenggen Fan is the Director General of the International Food Policy Research Institute. After joining IFPRI as a Research Fellow in 1995, he led IFPRI’s program on public investment and later became director of IFPRI’s Development Strategy and Governance Division. Dr. Fan is a leading researcher on pro-poor development strategies in developing countries. He has published widely in the areas of agricultural R&D policy, public investment, transition economies and agricultural development strategies. Dr. Fan received his Ph.D.
