André Devaux, Belgian, Ph.D. in Agriculture Science at “Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL)”, Belgium, with more than 25 years’ experience. Most of his career has been associated with the International Potato Center (CIP). He has developed expertise in strengthening agriculture research and development programs working with multidisciplinary teams in Latin America (Andes), Africa (east Africa) and Asia (Pakistan). Extensive research experience in potato production and innovation systems, value chain approach and public-private partnership.

I am now advising the European Commission on foresight studies with priorities on Global Food Security issues. We identify priority areas for Europe in terms of impacting on world's food situation.
