I am the regional Director for Cirad (French Center for international cooperation in tropical agriculture research) , and representative of Inra (French agronomic research center) and Agreenium (French consortium for agronomic training and research) in Brazil. I was previously deputy director for the "Environement and societies" department in Cirad (2007-2009) , and director of the forestry departement in Cirad (2004-2006). I was trained as an agronomist and a forest management specialist, and has been involved in research projets in tropical countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

PAKISAMA is a 25-year old national confederation of 52 national, provincial, and municipal federations of small farmers, fishers, indigenous peoples, rural women, and rural youth organizations representing 66,000 members operating in 42 of 80 provinces in the country. It has been advocating and building capacity of its members in pursuing and implementing agrarian reform and sustainable agriculture projects.

Siosiua Halavatau received his PhD in Soil Science in 1998 through The University of Queensland and was employed by the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) as a Team Leader and Participatory Extension Officer within the regional project Development of Sustainable Agriculture in the Pacific (DSAP) until January 2011. He is currently the coordinator of the Crop Production and Extension Thematic Group of the Land Resource Division of SPC. He also coordinates the IFAD funded Centre of Excellence for Atoll Agricultural Research and Development based in South Tarawa in Kiribati.

At the outset let me introduce myself as Jagdish Chaudhary working as District Project officer.
I hold a Masters in Agribusiness Management from the prestigious S. D. Agricultural University, Dantiwada (Gujarat) India. I have a total experience of around 2 years encompassing areas of sales, R&D, base line surveys including that of of the CGIAR.

As director of the institute of agricultural research , training, extension and education, and of the NARS member of AARINENA I feel that its my obligation to connect with this large body of informed and specialized people in the field of agriculture. Sharing my expertise is also valuable for the promotion of scientific impact on agricultural development. Our institution mission is to excel in agricultural research and extension. So I redeem it very important to link with the other forums of similar mission.
