Dr. Ismahane Elouafi has studied plant breeding, agriculture and genetics, and in November became the first Chief Scientist at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome. The staff of GFAR Secretariat, hosted by FAO’s new Office of Innovation (OIN) which Dr. Elouafi heads, congratulate her on her new role. 

The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) Research Program Manager (RPM) Social Systems has the opportunity to make a real difference, enriching lives and livelihoods by using social science insights to help achieve more sustainable, equitable and resilient food, farming and natural resource use systems. They will initiate, drive, manage and deliver a diverse portfolio of social science led research projects, working with other programs with social science dimensions and with a wide range of stakeholders across the Indo-Pacific region.
