The International Centre for development oriented Research in Agriculture (ICRA) is offering two 3-week courses for which registration has just opened, one targeted at lecturers and researchers working in tertiary agricultural education, and the other targeted at professionals involved in facilitating and coaching rural innovation.

A few NFP scholarships are available to attend these courses.

 

1. Learning, action research and outreach for inclusive development - Boosting competencies in higher education:

As family farming, nutrition and agrobiodiversity are increasingly put in the spotlight, Farming Matters focuses its attention on ‘underutilised’ crops. These are plant species that have been used for centuries or even millennia as food, fibre, fodder, oil or medicine, but are no longer very common. Many of these crops are of great value for nutrition, climate resilience and risk diversification.

International experts and local stakeholders took up the issues at the three-day national workshop "Forward Thinking for Agricultural Development in Western India" at Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU) that concluded on February 11.
