Each year, TWAS awards eight prizes of US$15 thousand each to individual scientists who have been working and living in a developing country for at least 10 years. The disciplinary fields include agricultural sciences, biology, and six others. Nominations of women scientists are particularly encouraged. The deadline for nominations is 29 February 2016.

The mission of the International Plant Nutrition institute (IPNI) is to develop and promote scientific information about the responsible management of plant nutrition for the benefit of the human family. IPNI is a global organization with initiatives addressing the world's growing need for food, fuel, fiber and feed.
Awards of US$2,000 each will be conferred to deserving graduate students in sciences relevant to plant nutrition and management of crop nutrients. Graduate students attending a degree-granting institution located in any country with an IPNI program are eligible.
