I am a research Scientist holding a MSc, Crop Science, Njala University Sierra Leone and MSc Plant Breeding, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. I am actively involved in research and development activities at one of the research centres of the Sierra Leone Agricultural Research Institute (SLARI) called Njala Agricultural Research Centre (NARC). Our mandate crops at this centre are roots, tubers and grain legumes. The market-oriented and partipatory plant breeding approaches along side other approaches are used.

Dr. Matlon is a specialist in Agricultural Economics. He occupied the position of Director of Research at AfricaRice and Principal Economist at ICRISAT. He held very important positions at Rockefeller Foundation and UNDP. He has published extensively in international referred journals, edited many books and written several book chapters. He is a member of the advisory committee of the journal Agricultural Economics, a member of the editorial Board of the journal Nutrient Cycling in Agroecosystems and a referee for several internationally recognized journals.

Prof R.P. Singh has 44 years experience: research(20), P.G. teaching (12), and 24 years research Coord. and Mgt. Joined IARI New Delhi Oct. 1964 with Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, Member of “Green Revolution” Team with Dr. R.G. Anderson, also 1st Ph.D. under him on “Dwarf Wheats”. Contributions: production Technology of dwarf wheats, Double Cropping of Legumes and Oil Seeds in dry lands, top-dressing of phosphorus in Wheat, rice. Originator of Rice–Wheat system, 150 research papers, guided 3 Ph.D. and 5 M.Sc. Held 13 positions ended Head Agronomy, IARI; PC and PD, PDCSR.

I am working as Director General of National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute -NAFRI. NAFRI has been established in 1999 and is the only one research institute within the country and comprises of 11 research centres (in agriculture, livestock, fishery and forestry subsectors).
NAFRI is currently working and coordinating with different donors, international organizations and some CGIAR centres (IRRI, CIAT, IWMI)

Sujata Tamang, a core team member of Food and Sustainable Agriculture Initiative, Forestaction, Nepal is involved in the research and capacity building activities, specifically carrying out field work and analysis, facilitation/coordination of training course, participants follow up and field support at both local and national level.

I joined The Research Council (TRC) since July 2011 as Director of Research Administration Department. Before that, I was Assistant Director of Plant Production Research Center in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries since January 2007. Most of my scientific career and academic background is in the field of plant genetic resources and crop improvement. I involved with TRC as well in developing a strategy for establishing Animal and Plant Genetic Resources Center.

I WORK AS EXTENSION SPECIALIST WITH NAERLS. I HAVE AN MSC IN AGRIC EXTENSION & RURAL SOCIOLOGY AS WELL AS A MASTERS IN AGRIC POLICY & ADMINISTRATION. I HAVE OVER 16 YEARS WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH EXTENSION ORGANIZATIONS. I AM AN EXCO MEMBER OF AGRIC EXTENSION SOCIETY OF NIGERIA.
I HAVE OVER 40 JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS AT BOTH LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL PEER REVIEW JOURNALS. I ALSO HAVE OVER TEN YEARS OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN THE POLYTECHNIC, COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND UNIVERSITY.
I AM A FAST LEANER, ENTHUSISTIC AND DEDICATED.

Have worked in agricultural research in Zimbabwe within the southern African region for the past 33 years and have made input in dryland agriculture in semi-arid areas, irrigatigated cropping, horticulture, wetland management systems, multi-disciplinary research and development formulation and coordination, prioritization and leadership in partnerships.
