Ben Christopher Mbaura is an Agricultural Economist currently employed by Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) as a Projects Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME) Coordinator responsible for providing leadership and technical support on projects design, monitoring and evaluation across DAPP Zimbabwe Programs.

Elenita “Neth” Dano is a Programme Manager of the Action Group on Erosion, Technology and Concentration (ETC Group) based in Davao City, southern Philippines since July 2009. She is a researcher who has done in-depth analysis and published work on various issues in agriculture, plant genetic resources and climate change in developing countries, particularly in Southeast Asia.

Fr. Francis Lucas is the Chair Emeritus of ANGOC and former head of the NGO Association for Agricultural Research in Asia and the Pacific (NAARAP).Together with ANGOC, he has espoused Sustainable Agriculture (SA) in the Asian region even before the first UNCED. He founded ICDAI, a community-based NGO that has assisted farmers to develop their SA farms since the late 1980s.A self-made agri-technican, Fr. Lucas while promoting SA, has partnered or challenged agri institutions and research facilities alike, such as IRRI and PhilRICE, as well as APAARI.

I have considerable experience in both academia and development work. I have a PhD from Cambridge University, UK, in geography and planning and have over 10 years of university teaching. I also have over 10 years in development work at senior levels. Currently, I am in charge of Africa programs (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burkina Faso and Mali) for World Neighbors, an international development organization. As an organization we build cpacities of local organizations through the sectors of sustainable agriculture, health, and natural resources management.
