The China Association for NGO Cooperation (CANGO) is a non-profit membership organization operating nationwide. CANGO was founded in 1992 and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 1993 (registration number 3340), and is audited according to Chinese laws. By the end of 2009, CANGO had 126 member organizations. CANGO is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. CANGO also gained the qualification of pre-tax deduction for donations by the Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation.
Daniel Walker is a Deputy Chief of CSIRO’s Division of Ecosystems Science. The Division comprises some 500 staff with expertise in ecology, agricultural and forestry systems sciences, social and economic sciences, environmental biotechnology and urban infrastructure and engineering at 18 laboratories across Australia.
Prof. Borgemeister has a Diploma In Agricultural Engineering (University Gottingen) and a PhD in Horticulture (University of Hannover). He is presently Director General of icipe, a pan-African Research Centre headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. His previous positions include Senior Scientist at IITA and Professor at Hannover University. He is the Editor –in-Chief of the International Journal of Tropical Insect Science (published on behalf of icipe by Cambridge University Press).
I am a research scientist by profession, a plant breeder currently working with USAID as a agricultural research specialist and main aim is to coordinate and liaise with partners working in the field to better develop and complement country's agricultural priorities of poverty reduction and wealth creation among small scale farmers while protecting the environment through the use of sound environmental practices. At present we are working with farmers groups in assisting them in the adoption of good agricultural practices in rice and maize production.
Ishmael Kindama Dumbuya is an environmental Journalist working for the Standard Times Newspaper in based in Freetown, Sierra LEone. He has been an environment Reporter since 2007.
Ishmael is also the founder and Director for the Sierra LEone Environmental Journalists Association
