Rajendra Paroda

Dr. Rajendra S. Paroda, former Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) & Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Government of India, is an accomplished plant breeder and geneticist by profession and an able research administrator. He has made significant contributions in the field of crop science research. He is known for modernization and strengthening of the National Agricultural Research System (NARS) in India as well as in Central Asia and the Caucasus.

I am a social scientist/gender spcialist working with Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) and deployed in the institutes Socioeconomics and Applied statistics Department. I hold a Bachelors degree in Anthropology and a Masters degree in Gender & Development.

Dhruva Joshy

I had worked for more than thirty-five years in the field of agricultural research holding various positions in the Dept. of Agri. and Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC). I retired as Executive Director of NARC. Recently IFPRI/APAARI had undertaken a study on Policy Dialogue Meeting on Prioritizing Demand-driven Agricultural Research for Development (AR4D) for three South Asian countries (Bangladesh, India and Nepal). I was the consultant to undertake the exercise and conduct the Policy Dialogue Meeting in Nepal for IFPRI/APAARI.

Wijesooriya Nalaka

I am presently working as a Research Officer in premeur socio economic research institute in agrarian sector in Sri Lanka. My major duties are contributing to Weekly and Monthly Food Commodities Bulletins of the Marketing and Food Information Dessemination Project which was initiated by the FAO/UNDP in 1996. I fulfil the Paddy/Rice sector in these bulletins, These publications are provided to National Food Security Commitee conducted by the Presidents Office.

Subhash Chakraborty

I am a Bangladeshi National, graduated from the Faculty of Fisheries, Bangladesh Agricultural University and got M.Sc. in Fisheries Technology From the Department of Fisheries Technology of the same University in 1981 and Joined as Lecturer in the same Department. From then, I started my carrier as teacher and researcher. I got promoted in the position of Assistant Professor followed by Associate Professor and Professor in the same Department at varying length of my service.
